A G E N D A:

John will discuss the ins & outs of Press Releases. This is such a simple
concept but you need to follow the Tips and Tricks.

NOTE: The media get volumes of requests for Press Releases. And, they
do what they can to publish them. But, the media is in biz to make a
profit. They will spend more effort on a project that produces revenue
than a press release. They usually publish them in the order received,
but there are exceptions. If your press release sounds like a commercial,
it may not come to the top of the list. If your release shows sensitivity
for a human interest story (i.e. how your service or event benefits
persons or an organization) it will likely get priority.

Long releases will often get chopped. Keep It Simple, Stu___ !

Are they worth doing? You betcha!
Can you do them frequently? Not in the same publication or station!

Also, November is National Child Safety and Protection Month. John will
discuss how you can work that into your presentations . . . or how you can
use it to arrange presentations.

John will discuss changes to our website as we develop a new look and feel
for it.  We have done a great deal of research into what the site should
look like, what it should do, how it can teach parents, and what it should
contain to keep parents coming back . . . often!

John will also discuss the process of setting up a marketing plan for new
Affiliates.  Although this may sound like a discussion for beginners,
please be reminded that "marketing" is one of the basic building blocks of
any successful sales effort.  In addition, getting back to the basics is a
regular "gotta do" exercise for even the most seasoned sales professional.
As John has mentioned many times, it is important to use an approach that
works . . . and, the best approach just may be one you have yet to try.
So, let's talk "marketing plan".

Your questions and suggestions continue to be a key part of the PodCasts.
Please feel free to ask your questions, or share your comments, during
these educational opportunities.  If you prefer, don't hesitate to e-mail
you thoughts to John ahead of time.  You may request anonymity if you
choose.

John will discuss the following topics:

1. Prospecting

2. Different types of Prospects

3. Dealing with "NO" - - - - handling rejection, and, how to turn it
into a "YES"

NOTE: Over half of the best salespeople are introverts - who apply
proven sales techniques and a positive attitude!
NOTE: Johnny Carson has always been a confirmed introvert.
NOTE: "NO" does not mean your prospect doesn't like you . . . or your
product.

4. FTC laws on business opportunities ----- and, giving out
information on the revenues of representatives / affiliates

Tuesday, we are going to " go back to the basics" to be sure we are using
EMPATHY to connect with families.

Parents want to feel they are doing a good job to keep their kids safe.
They suspect that anything, including the unthinkable, can happen.  BUT,
this is not "top of mind" for them.  They have lots to deal with in
rearing kids.  They will focus on the big chunks first.

Keep that in mind when you engage them in conversation.  Give them an
opportunity to switch gears to get on the same page as you in discussing
safety.  Create a dialogue so you know they are involved in the
conversation.  Let them know you are an expert in missing child safety.
Let them know that the way to maximize safety is through pro-active
education and open discussion at home.

This will also be a great time to answer your questions.  Please send your
questions and suggestions to John so we can cover them.  Your anonymity
will be protected if you choose.

Bottom line - parents want what CS-USA has, they often don't realize how
to capture it!

Looking forward to the discussion
