This past Friday, DATELINE ran a story called "In broad daylight" about
the abductions and murders of Chelsea King and Amber Dubois of
California - by a known child molester, John Gardner.

I will use this as a backdrop for a discussion of the main reason for
Child Shield, USA.

John, like Phillip Garido (who abducted Jaycee Dugard for 19 years), had
been imprisoned for abduction.  Phillip was let out after 11 years of a
50-year sentence.  John was given a lighter stay of 6 years when they
could have issued 10.  If they had, he would still have been locked up.
Poor public policies cost these two young women their lives.

However, if both would have heeded Rule #4 of our Safety 7 Rules, both
would likely still be with us.

CS-USA is a unique and patent-pending missing child location system.
However, parents need to clearly understand that our mission is to PREVENT
the unthinkable.  Selling prevention is a challenge if parents cannot
appreciate the threat.

There is no guarantee that I won't be involved in an auto accident, but,
if I am open to news, tips, precautions, and case studies about safe
driving, the likelihood of avoiding an accident increases dramatically.

Let's discuss openly, our thoughts on how to "deliver" the prevention
message to our prospects!

We will also talk about our experiences at the Kids Expo in Phoenix last
Saturday!  It was a huge show that filled the new stadium!

John will explore the very common mindblock called "Fear of Success"!

It is well-documented that people subconsciously have a difficulty
imagining what they will do if they become successful.  Oddly enough,  it
could cause changes in our lives.  We might become obvious to strangers
who want to know more about our methods.  We may notice that even we look
more closely at what we do and how we do it . . . in a judgemental way.
Success brings elation . . . and, scrutiny.  Will I be asked to speak in
public?  Will I be asked for advice?  Will people expect more of me?

John will also talk about "Getting out of our comfort zone".  It is
amazing what we can accomplish when we venture out!  We may actually
commit a few boo boos.  But, the net results is usually positive.

Let's toss these ideas around on Tuesday . . . and, YES, we want to hear
your input!

requires a coordination of a specific set of activities performed in
sequence.  This will help you to organize your time and your tasks.

Bob will discuss displays at expos.  The National Child Watch Team program
is a critical piece because you will typically not have enough time with
individuals to do a complete presentation.  The NCWT program gives you an
opportunity to get back with them when you can answer all their questions
in a more relaxed atmosphere.
